With Vanity comes stupidity?

Why is it most "beauty" questions simply boil down to questions of pure vanity?
Why also are these questions completely devoid of any rational understanding of reality?

I disagree with the idea that "vanity" (in other words, paying attention to appearance) implies stupidity...I don't think wanting to look good implies you're a stupid person. Hey, I tweeze my eyebrows and wear makeup, and enjoy Sephora....but I also love to read the Economist and the New York Times. I think we've moved into an era of post-modern feminism when women can enjoy their femininity AND be accomplished, intelligent people. They're not mutually exclusive.

they're not.you're just judgemental and feminist.give women a break.i bet you don't walk out the house in a garbage bag.women are allowed to be beautiful one the outside.and it is part of natural female bonding to seek out the opinion of other women.just stop being a bytch.and i mean that in the kindest of ways.

i agree with miss sunkist. stop player-hating. Seriously, and I dont mean that in the kindest way either. Who dosent want to look
good, broads who say chicks like us have no brain because their
jealous. pure and simple. Why do **** for your self when if youre
pretty, you can have men do **** for you.
