By hook or by crook people like that should be removed from power.... they are tyrants to their people and bring their countries down into misery.... there are many more. Intervention may not be the whole answer but is part of it and should be carried out at the UN level that should be the watchdog of humanity... so far nothing is working not even the UN..!!!!.

Because the UN has no teeth. Unless one or more member nations are willing to put their military forces on the line for the task, nothing can or will ever happen.

For the same reasons a democracy can't get rid of tyrants like George Bush. He invades other countries on a whim. He forces our people to go on suicide missions in middle-Eastern countires based on *wrong* intelligence. He totally ignores the Constitution and wiretapes phones without warrants. He illegally detains people and denies them attorneys. And people under his command have been caught torturing, degrading, and in a few places raping other people!
