With either Grossman (who can stay healthy) or Griese, the offense will get a solid throwing arm to make the WR corp a threat. Muhsin looks to return to form while Bradley, Currie, and Berrian are fighting for the #2 spot. Jones and Benson in the backfield can wreak havoc on opposing run defenses, and Jones wants to show off that he is a upper level RB in the league (he has improved with each season, finally breaking 1000 with a 1335 yard season). Defensively, this unit has gotten more ferocious, adding Manning Jr. and using the draft to bulk up the secondary. Urlacher, Briggs, and Hillenmeyer are a vicious middle unit and the line that contains Alex Brown and Adewale Ogunleye will look to put even more pressure on opposing QBs and RBs.

As for those who want to use the playoffs last season as a reason why, just remember that the Bears were not destroyed like the so-called experts said ... 29-21 shows that the Chicago offense, with Grossman returning for only his third full game of that season made the much more experienced Carolina defense look weak. If he played the entire season, Carolina would not have reached the NFC Championship.

The key to the Bears success is A.)Grossman plays a full season and B.)A second WR like Bradley or Currie steps up to help Muhammid out

As a huge Bears fan, every year I think they can. This year is no different (when I think with my heart). When I think with my head, I realize that they need a stronger offense to have a balanced team and a great chance at coming close to the 1985 team we loved. I'll love them no matter if they win or lose.

As long as....

1. The QB's (either 1 or 2) stay healthy
2. They figure out which RB they are going to use, and stay with him
3. Another WR steps up, and Muhsin keeps from dropping balls this season

It's possible. Their team really resembles the Steelers of last year quite a bit. All they need is for their receivers to go out and make plays. They have a great stable of running backs, and I think Cedric Benson probably has the most upside at this point.

No, still to many questions on offense. Personally I hope I eat my words later in the season but for now I say they will make the playoffs but lose to a better all around team.

No. The bars may have the best defense in the league, but they need to get much better on the other side of the ball.

If they can stay healthy they could contend, but i dont think they'll go all the way. There are teams they would face that is better overall then them.
