There is only one person who can win England outright something and by making him captain he can lead them to sucess like he did his club. His name is Steven Gerrard. The man is a born leader and an inspiration. He has the ability to do the unthinkable, just look at this years FA CUp final.

Has to be either Terry or Gerrard, both captains if their own clubs Chelsea and Liverpool respectively. Both have also led winning teams, which Beckham has failed to do. Hmmm - will have to go with Terry. Too solid as a player and his performance is not as spasmodic as Gerrard, although the latter can be more spectacular.

I hope John Terry. To me he was our man of the tournament, not least because of that 46th minute save against T&T, which could have changed the whole outcome of that game had it gone in.
If Owen Hargreaves (yes, you heard me right!) had played throughout like he did in the final game, he might have been my nomination.
