I have just got a psp, is there any use for the infrared port?, i thought i could transfer images to/from my sony ericsson w810i.

I tried to do this but the phone will not detect psp, does infrared port on psp have to be activated - if so, how?

infrared is for future use or for psp to psp file sharing

I am still confused as to why Sony insisted on including an infrared port on the PSP. With the introduction of Bluetooth, infrared is soon to be completely redundant (wouldn't be surprised if bluetooth becomes the industry standard for TV remotes in a few years time). Personally I think they would be much better off utilising the wi-fi for data transfer, much quicker and more efficient.

yeah you can do that that is what the infrared port is for
