I just want to put a pool up, and my yard slants. Therefore the pool won't fill up right. I just want to build a small deckish type platform to put the pool on.

I would dig out the ground for the pool to set on. That's a lot of weight to support with a deck. As an alternate, I would lay railroad ties or build a retaining wall and level the surface around where the pool will go. I would be sure that the pool would end up 5 feet from the edge of the retaining wall.

Kitttkat is right. It would be cheaper and easier to rent a skid steer or small dozer for a day and level out the area where you want the pool.

we had same problem. we took 2x4 made a frame 18 x 18. then filled it up with dirt. my hubby used a level and spikes to make the frame all leveled. now hes putting plywood over the corners and filling the rest of the area up around pool with playsand. i bet it would of been cheaper and easier to rent a dozer to level out spot..
