Most everyone was bullied by someone else at some point in their life, even if it was early childhood. It's just a part of growing up.
I would be concerned of "mature" adults are bullying others. They clearly have control issues and should seek help.

I was bullied during most of my school life, both mentally and physical, and it was horrible. It did stop slightly when I started to fight back during my last year at school and I wish I had started earlier but as I was even bullied by some teachers (I am dyslexic but at the time they thought I was just lazy and gave me a hard time over it) I stood little chance and I don't believe ignoring it works, you can't ignore being beaten up! How I feel do I feel about it now? I try not to think about it but when I do it is the teachers I feel most angry about the children that bullied me were young but the adults should have known better.

Yeah, I was bullied terribly at school, and, sadly, at home by my mother...
Now I'm a big, bad bloke and I take great delight in stepping up to anyone that gets in my way and knocking them down a peg or two... literally and figuratively... in fact one of my current jobs is working as Security in a public building. If you'd told me I'd be doing that for a job back when I was a timid little boy I would have run off and hid.
Getting bullied is a horrible, horrible experience for anyone... but in the long run it can make you a tougher, more independent person who's controlled and able to deal with confrontation better than others...
...it usually also means you've spent considerable time alone in thought or reading ...so your mind will be sharper, your attitudes broader and you'll be generally more intellectually developed.

yes i have bullied and been bullied, i feel totally ashamed of myself for bullying a poor defenceless little boy and to make matters worse he was a special needs kid aswell totally totally ashamed of myself. Anyways as the saying goes what goes around comes around and it did, when i went to comprehensive school i was bullied and tormented until i got to upper sixth and the bullies left, so i consider myself punished. I have since seen the boy i bullied in junior school and told him how sorry i am, he said it was ok and accepted my apologies, as for being bullied i am actually a stonger person now for it and ii wont take no crap of nobody, plus all the people who bullied me are having little to no luck in thier lives so i take great comfort in that fact!! The good lord never sleeps!!

I was verbally bullied at junior school. I don't see the girl anymore, but on the odd occasion I have seen her I have felt really angry towards her. It didn't make that much of an impression on me as I had lots of friends. It may have been a jealousy thing as she was a little overweight at the time and my group of friends were normal sized for that age, oh and my parents were friends with the most popular boys parents so I go to be quite friendly with him. he he he.
I got my own back and snogged her ex not long after they split up. she is still fat!

I was in school 1971-1984 and was bullied - the earliest I remember was grade 6 but it continued.... I was an easy target because I didnt "fight" back...
how do I feel about it now? very filled with anger - would have wished I had the power to fight back at that time... but very glad I never bullied anyone...
cant say I dont sympathize with the students who kill their tormentors

I've been bullied, both as a child and as an adult, I feel contempt for the people who do it; the funny thing is that they think they are superior to you.

I used to bully my lil sister at home, or be nasty to her, me and her used to fight alot, and i usually win. I used to make her cry etc. thats 11 years ago.
I never ever hurt her outside though. it was always at home.
I feel so so so so horrible when i think about it now. sometimes tear comes when i think of it. she is so my favourite sister now. she's like a best freind to me.
I dont believe i hurt her lots when she was little. I have said sorry to her. but still doesnt make me feel better. i love her lots. i always take her shopping, to make things up. treat her etc.
My partner said its nothing to worry about. siblings always fight.
