Are you referring to people who are all alike, or to actual lemmings? Don't actual lemmings intentionally down themselves?

There was an old Disney movies (in the 50's, I think) that talked about the migration of the lemmings and how they would run en masse off a cliff to their doom.

Turns out later that it doesn't really happen, and Disney employees were pushing them off/ throwing them. It was all instigated. (See link below.)

But the myth persists. And I admit it's sort of a fun one. :)

I imagine a lot of people do. If they do periodically jump off cliffs en masse (and I've heard yes and no answers to that idea) then the question is whether or not the intention is suicide. Suicide has to be intentional by definition. Jumping off cliffs may show no intention to do away with oneself whatsoever. Is their intention to do away with themselves. I vote no.
