i actually agree with the fact that some, only some, blacks feel they are different from whites, but that is not unique to us(black people) think about what we tell young boys and girls. as adults we always stress equality between the sexes yet many of us tell young boys one thing and young girls another. be stong young man, show your emotion young lady. so answer your question in terms of the sexes and see if you still come up with the same conclusion. in fact i'll do it for you(with all your spelling mistakes included,lol)..........................
I thank they are brainwashed by the evil to help keep the idea that "women" are different then men alive. If 2 women one from nashville, one from L.A and 2 men from the same towns are in the same room, who has the most in common?

I see what you are trying to say - and I see how some could interpret it as racist. I believe that you are trying to find out why we don't see everyone as exactly the same.

The thing is that everyone has a family history, a cultural histopry and a collective community history. This is very important for each and every one of us, regardless of color, race, creed or religion. It helps us understand our own identity better.

Of course the black men from LA would have more in common with the whites than they would with the black men from Nashville - at least on a superficial and experiential level. However, cultural differences occur when there is a different historical background.

It gets watered down the further into time we proceed, but even in the end, our historical culture is what seperates us from each other and it's what teaches us to be tolerant of each other.

Make sense? I hope so.

Yes, blacks have culture because, they are not bastards. They have a source and their source is deeply rooted in culture. I'm not from American though, but I'm from Africa, where blacks in America comes from. It's the circumstance that surround their moving out of their origin and mixing with other races that made them to be brainwashed somehow, but some of them that still knows their history and culture do not forget their home and origin.

Try and search for black culture and origin, you will know what I'm talking about. Anyway, do you have a culture at all? In case you dont have, I will be delighted to borrow you some, whoever you are. I dont know the type of mentality you people have, Some people's brain are dirty and needs thorough cleaning.

the 2 blacks would have more in common based on their experiences, background and history. Immediate commonality. 2 whites don't really share these commonalities because first and foremost - they provided the struggle but they didn't experience it. The struggle is a culture in and of itself. One look at a black person and we know based on slavery and up til now with hidden racism - we know, as if it were a silent language, we know and understand.

I think I also see what you're asking.

But I don't think it's geographical cultural differences/similarities that trump complexion as much as socio-economic similarities and differences.

Middle-class whites and blacks have more in common with each other than they do with low-income whites and blacks. African-Americans already know this. Most whites do not.

blacks have a culture because many years ago all we had was each other, we we're not supposed to read or write and if we could we had to hide it. As a race we stuck together and came up with our own ways of communicating and entertaining each other. That has evolved today into a very distinct culture. So eventhough society has changed we still have something that's distinctly our own

Everybody from everywhere have some sort of culture. Even those from 'space'.
The problem is, some people wants to hang to their culture, the way they were 20, 40, 100, 500 or even 1000 years ago.
That is the only difference.
My appeal is for all cultures to please add some civilisation into their culture.

First, that is a cornball analogy.

Second, if you have a civilization, you have a culture.

Third, if they want to define themselves in terms of media exposure, that's their privilege. This is still a country of choice.
