Here is one basic truth most Conservatives don't want you to know:
Over 75% of all media outlets in this country are owned by Republican owned and controlled companies, from Clear Chanel to Fox to ABC.
So, if at times the news you hear might not sound as right-wing slanted as you might want it to sound I suppose it's because the media is actually (outside of Murdock and Fox) trying to be fair and impartial.

"Liberal" is a broad generalization tending towards the ideas that live-and-let-live is the best way to deal with things. Conservatives dont think so and seek to control much more.
The Media is clearly pro-freedom to the point of being supportive of Gay rights etc. Most voting Americans are against Gay rights and other Liberal agendas. So people get upset because the Media is not representing the people it reports to.
Personally, in general, Im grateful for a Liberal Media.
Conservatives want to regulate anything that makes a person smile.

The term "Liberal Media" refers to opinions of the media that goes against the Right-Wing side of the political scale. It is formed of opinions against something specific, for example, the war in Iraq. You will not hear many positives of the war, if you go to FOX News, then yes. But other than that, you will not hear many triumphs of the war. Look into Hollywood, you'll find a lot of Liberal Bias there.

First of all, the noun "media" is plural. The media in America HAVE (not has) a liberal bias. Yes, I can give specific examples. You SHOULD really see it. The media come down much-more harshly on George Walker Bush than they ever did on William Jefferson Clinton. They identify the opposing sides on abotion issue as "pro-choicers with a deep committment" and "anti-choice fanatics". They misrepresent the impact of gun control. I could go on all day, but I'll be merciful.

I was watching that queer on CNN the other day. They had the normal talking heads, one dem, one repub. They let the democrat have his say, then switched to the repub. After only a few sentences, it stopped in the middle of a sentence, all was silent for a half a second and it quickly shifted back to the dem. It was obvious that the scene had been edited because they either didn't care what he had to say, or he said something they didn't like. But then what can you expect from the Communist News Network.

Sure. Let's see:
"Diplomats meet in Iraq to discuss new government; seven killed in roadside bombing" Not the exact headline, but close enough.
"Country in uproar over illegal wiretapping" Not exact, but again, close enough. They've now had to admit that there really wasn't national wiretapping, and it wasn't illegal.
"Uproar over CIA leak" Not exact, but once more, close enough. Turns out it really wasn't a leak. The information was declassified. Valerie Plame herself had no problems with it. She was no longer a CIA agent at the time. The media has had to admit it.
Let's see. The news media blamed Bush for the fallout from Hurricane Katrina...even though it's now turned out that it was the governor of Louisiana and the mayor of New Orleans who dropped the ball. They buried their admission of that fact towards the back of the newspaper.
Evidence that Iraq HAD had a WMD program was discovered. It was also buried. They did stop claiming he lied, though.
How is that for a start?

If you are an idiot who thinks FOX NEWS is fair & balanced and you are judging the rest of the media, you will be screaming left-wing media at the top of your lungs. That is like standing at the edge of a cliff, suffering the final stages of syphilis and yelling out that it is the rest of the world that is diseased.

They mean that the media doesn't say the same things in its opinion pages and doesn't report the same things in its news pages that Rush Limbaugh, Pat Robertson, George Bush, and other right-wingers are talking about and giving opinions about.

They're manipulating people into thinking that everything that does not have an ultra-reactionary slant is "liberal".
True, most people in the news are not specifically self-labeled conservatives, but the first sentence holds nonetheless.
