1. Has the behavior towards you been uncomfortable, and have you asked the person to stop this behavior?
2. Has the other person told you that unless you "go along" with this behavior you will be fired, demoted or otherwise punished?
3. Has this person put his/her hands on you, or gotten too close physically, or asked you out repeatedly even though you've said no?
4. Has the other person made inappropriate comments on your physical appearance, such as "I really like your dress, it makes you look so sexy?" (Note: compliments are not considered inappropriate unless they have references to sexual matters--for instance, it's not inappropriate to say "I like your dress." It IS inappropriate to say "I like your dress becuase it makes your butt look good!")
5. Has the other person told you dirty jokes, or made dirty comments about others around you, creating an atmosphere of sexual permissiveness in the workplace?
6. Has the other person allowed others to make similar comments and not reprimanded them?
Please read the document at the link below very carefully. Remember, sexual harrassment can be from anyone to anyone--male, female, higher up or lower down than you--but the key is that the behavior, no matter how innocently meant, is UNWELCOME and PERSISTENT.

If someone says or does something that makes you feel uncomfortable. I would consider it then. If you know they meant it as a joke, in a funny way but not hurtful, then ask someone in your office or peers what their opinion is. I can usually tell when someone is joking with me and it comes out wrong. I don't get too offensive then. If it is said with the intent to hurt me and the content is inappropriate, then I would mention something to someone. Hope this helps!

if anyone does something to you in a sexual way that makes you feel uncomfortable, then you've been harrased.

If you are asking this question you probably are. Do something about it. You are too valuable to put up with that.
