mederma, neosporin...massage whatever it is that u use on the scar too. this promotes blood flow to the surface and can help in healing better. also, keeps scar tissue from building up! all scars take time to heal, and they go through, what i call, an "ugly" period too. it takes a year to heal a scar completely (but, not all in the "ugly" stage at least).

take care!!!

Something that has worked pretty well for me (considering the scars I was using it on are at least 10 years old) is Mederma. I have their site in sources if you want to check them out. In my case I had a raised scar from a burn and within a few days it took the size of the scar down. You just have to stick to it -- since they said it could take a few months to fully work.

Some suggest that using creams containing Vitamin E, taking vitamin E supplements, or including plenty of vitamin E in a diet from sources such as wheat germ, nuts, vegetable oils, eggs and green vegetables, can help speed up the healing process, and lessen the appearance of any scar afterwards.

Other research, however, suggests that applying Vitamin E to post surgical scars does not reduce the size, shape, or color of scars and can, in up to one third of patients, result in contact dermatitis, allergic reactions, or other irritation that can worsen a scar's appearance. (Source: Baumann, Dermatologic Surgery, 1999)

There is also a suggestion that cocoa butter cream can be used to help heal scars, and to prevent the formation of keloid scars.

Try mederma scar reducer. it's expensive but works even on old scars. The best stuff on the market.

Get Mederma. It may be a little expensive but trust me, it works so well! You should be able to find in the medicine section of any drug store.

Don't get sun on it. That will make the scar worse.
