something this small shouldn't matter. You should go forgive her now! I call my husband a jackass all the time but he knows i am only kidding. Don't fight...go fly a kite!

Forgiving is just part of a relationship----You might try the next time(have a large pack of lighters handy that she don't know about) here they are my Dear I am so glad that I found them for you! I would forgive her for accusing you of stealing her lighter and the next time she looses it help her retrace her steps and try to find it again. If she finds it, make it a big point to tell her SHE LOST it.
As for the jackass thing, that's not cool. Unless you also call her demeaning names...

Buy her a lighter on a string my bartender friends love it. It will save you alot of headache. And as for the jackass thing tell her you don't like it maybe she doesn't think that it is a big deal.

lol. Thats funny i always lose our lighters, but i dont call my hubby an jackass for it. TALK to her. Without communication and trust there is nothing.Do you really want a lighter and stupid name calling to be the fault of your marriage?

Buy a humongous supply of lighters. Then when she loses one and acusses you just give her another. That should shut her up.
