I'm afraid not, France looks to be peaking at the right time (or wrong time for the Italians amongst us) and a world cup win would be the only fitting end to Zidane's glittering career. He has been one of the greatest football players, not only of a generation, but of all time. It would be a great shame if his exceptional talent was last displayed in a losing situation.
