I am a U.S. Army veteran ... and I have these things to say:
(a) Cindy Sheehan is an idiot who is speaking to be heard rather than because she has something important to say.
(b) Cindy's statement here is likely being manipulated or taken out of context to some extent ... it sounds too biased against her.
(c) We have too much "soldier adoration" in our country ... not all of the men who serve in our military are worthy of being adored by the masses ... some are worthy of adoration ... most are just regular men/women like you and me ... and then there are plenty of scum in the military as well, just as in regular society. During my time, I saw too much inappropriate conduct to say otherwise.

I don't put much stock into what Cindy Sheehan says. She is a disgrace, and she's only trying to stay in the limelight and get more media attention.
News Flash, Cindy. Your 15 minutes was up over a year ago.

Ms. Sheehan will do anything and say anything to get a tv camera in front of her face. The true issue she has is her son leaving her and feels like she failed as a parent. Her ego tells her it's not her fault it's everyone else's. We will never know if Army Specialist Casey Sheehan's views on the war but we honor him as a fallen hero and hope that he lived with a pride for his country, duty, unit and himself. Shame on Ms. Sheehan for her selfishness.

Well, I'm sure that among our many troops there are a few rapists and other types of criminals, but I think she's over-the-top obnoxious. I feel bad for her, but I don't think she truly understands what is happening in Iraq and needs to do some research and soul searching before she makes such accusations.

There may be a small amount of criminals in our military . That does not mean all are guilty of these crimes.Stating this inaccurately as Cindy has done will not help the U.S.A. in the fight against terrorism or our standings in the view of other countries.

I was in the US ARMY for 6 years, and this is undoubtedly true that these elements exist in that population. I knew people like that. So while she overstates the obvious, I would like to know why she doesn't have the same outrage at the criminals that torture and murder our soldiers that are fighting to protect her? She has been brainwashed by the far left, and she is too stupid to even know it. Fortunately, most Americans that possess the least bit of common sense understand this and she is slowly being relegated to obscurity.

I am an Iraq Vet and yes those troops who commit rapes and murders are rapists and criminals. Not all troops. I didn't commit any crimes while I was in Iraq. Lets call a duck a duck, a chicken a chicken, dog a dog. She has her opinion and she should not be vilified for it. she just needs to explain here self better. I believe she meant those who commit crimes.

Cindy Sheehan is the modern day "Hanoi Jane"; she is an attention whore who is trying to make herself known at the expense of her heroic son.

Seems that the shoe fits...
Unfortunately, it's the old 'one-bad-egg' situation. While 99% of the troops are not rapists, criminals, sadists, torturers, etc - the few that are spoil the reputation for everyone.
