1000 kilobytes make a megabyte, 0.001 megabytes to a kilobyte (ish) but check out the tech heads more more accuracy !

Ahhh, good question but which answer do you want. there is the binary size of 1024 and the decimal size of 1000.
You see some people use the 1024 measurement and some use the 1000, it depends which will benefit them more i.e your hard disk will say 60gb but they mean 60 decimal gigabytes, which is less than 60 binary gigabytes.
