Im not an atheist and I belive in God, but come on, enough about religios questions. If you need to ask, then your not looking hard enough in the bible yourself.

I never tire of religioius debate. In fact I'd rather fight over what to believe here in Yahoo Answers than on a battlefield. Remember that this peaceful discourse leads to more understanding among the religious, agnostic, non-theists, and atheists alike. Of course those of us in here are a minority so as long as religions have differences about what and how to belive there'll be strife in society. Hopefully, understanding ultimately leads to some level of respect that further allows for various sects (including atheists) to agree to disagree and do so in PEACE! I'm not sick of them, but do consider that it's only opinion. People can know a great deal about what this or that religion claims to teach, or how it had behaved in history, but people who claim to have a "direct line" to knowledge of God or Gods...? I have to think they are a bit deluded or basically liars trying to manipulate others, probably because they possess little virtue or knowledge of much else.

There's nothing wrong with legitimate questions regarding any religion. The problem is all the name-calling and arguing between the religions, and the arguments with the non-religious by the religious and visa-versa.

If everyone would just stick to their own belief or non-belief - and quit fighting, it would be okay.

So true my friend. It must be that people with no belief have to try and justify themselves by getting others who are in the same boat to agree with them.

These are the same people who will be in Hell posting messages on forum boards asking "Is Hell Real - or is this just a dream".

if science is what we know, and philosophy is what we don't know.....

then some of those religious questions belong here....because we don't know...

i am personally tired, of the slander, of "others" points of view....
this is philosophy...we are suppose to come here seeking wisdom..
and that starts with agreeing to disagree....

religious arguments belong in the proper category...

we don't come to the philosophy section for an argument...we come for enlightenment.

Why is it that the people who claim to be tolerant and enlightened are the same people who are most intolerant of religious discussions?

God told me to go to a gay bathhouse and turn gay guys over to Jesus, but I ended up being gay instead.

They have their own section to argue in. If your sick of the zealots, don't go to the religion and spirituality category. If you find one of their questions in the wrong category, report it for abuse.

Then stay off this category. Religion, Philosophy and Ethics are all intertwined.

Then you need to change categories. This is philosophy. There are plenty of other areas out there to go to.
