Not entirely. Chloe is a made-up character. The other characters are real, but Clark didn't have the kind of interaction with them that the show implies. The whole friendship with Lex is made up. Running into future superheroes The Flash and Aquaman is made up as well.

A lot is made up. Chloe is a character made up for the show but DC comics is planning on including her in future comic series. Clark did not know Lex prior and had no friendship. Same thing with Lois, Perry White, and a number of others seen on the show. It is however a very very cool interpretation of the story.

No, it takes some of the characters from the comics, but the story-lines are completely made to fit the needs of the show without any regard to the accuracy of the comics.

well, i dont know how much is made up but lex and clark were indeed friends for a short while when growing up.... go back and learn your superman history, its in there, and no, it wasnt added after the fact of the show... i believe the comic came out in the 70's or 80's, not sure which....

they just make it up, its not true to the comics at all.
Lex Luther was not friends with Clark when they were groing up. in fact he was friends with Perry White, Clarks Boss. the only thing they got right was Lana Langs name she does exist in the comics.
