have both and hundreds of games - gamecube has good games but very few. ps2 has loads of games, very very much good ones and they are extremely cheap on ebay. So - if you are not going to play gamecube-only games (like zelda or resident evil zero) the ps2 is the right console for you.

I have both. For me I broke it down like this. The game cube is great for younger kids. The PS2 has more adult games. I have the X-box also. That makes it really easy. They are so cheap now, especially a used one. Get 'em all , why decide :-)

i have a gamecube but a lot of my friends have a ps2 and i have to say there is a lot more of selection of games for ps2 and all that so i will have to go with ps2 but i like the gamecube to!!

depends, if you are into Mario , Zelda , get a gamecube, is cheaper too. if you like rpgs get a PS2 is just a matter of preference
