If it is light beige carpet made of nylon or rayon, then the stain is pretty much set. If you have a wool carpet--a little higher end---then your local dry cleaner may have some dry cleaning solution they can suggest.
Dye does its job---unfortunately--when it's dropped on the carpet. If you have tried a hot steam carpet cleaner with oxyclean, you may be able to get most of the color out, but you will still have the color left in the nap and the padding that will show.
Depending on where the stain is, after you've shampooed you carpet with a good steam cleaner that has scrubbing brushes and gotten as much of the color out as possible, put down a throw rug or area rug until you can replace the carpet.
Next time---stay in the bathroom! Good luck!

If the other ideas that make sense don't work you will have to replace the section of carpet, I hope we are talking about a few drops.
Use a jar lid or something like it as a template to cut out the damaged section. Go to a closet or really out of the way area and cut out a piece using the same template. Match the grain and direction of the carpet and glue the plug in.

I had the exact same problem, and could'nt find anything to get it out :( You have to clean it like the minute it gets on the carpet...which is hard b/c the colors not developed yet so it's hard to see. I bet if you got a professional carpet cleaner though that they would be able to get it out...Good Luck! Lemme know what works!!!!

This works great. Get some mustard, the yellow kind and spread it all over the stain. Rub it in real good and let it dry overnight. In the morning just vacuum it up and the stain will be gone. Works great every time I've done it. Also works on upholstery, curtains and clothing.

Peroxide might work otherwise they do sell hair color remover in beauty supply stores. Don't know if it works on carpet but peroxide should do the trick.

nothing will work...I even call prof. carpet cleaners so I did my own thing...cut the carpet fiber (hair) out.....go to a corner of the carpet and cut out some new Capet fiber, and go and clue the new fiber to the bald spot...
