I fail to see the relevance of this to anything, but aye you asked. Zidane described himself once as a "non-practicing Muslim".
His full name is Zinedine Yazid Zidane, which in itself is an Arabic name, commonly associated with Islam. His first name means "Ornament of the Faith" while his family name means "Increases the Faith", I believe.
His Spanish wife is also a Muslim, and their kids all sport Arabic names.

zidane said that hes a "non-practicing muslim".... i'm not sure he said that cuz he doesnt practice or out of fear of the french govt.(they banned the hijab).
and well i dont think his wifes a muslim ....out of his four sons ...three have christian names and one has a muslim name

His parents are Algerian Muslims, but I believe that he is not very religious and does not follow Islam or any other religion
