You'll need a CD/DVD burner in your computer. It looks just like the CD you have now to install programs and listen to music, but it has the ability to write as well as read.
Make sure you're using a DVD disc and not a CD. Video won't transfer onto a CD. You can use the same programs as you do for music onto CDs. Also, if you're doing a direct transfer, one DVD to another, you'll need to use the same type of DVD. Example, if the source DVD is single layer then the blank DVD has to be single layered as well.

You need a blank DVD not a regular CD. If your system has a burner then use this buring software called Express Burn. It is the best burning software out there. You can type it in google. make sure you type Free Express Burn in your search engine. You may get a few links asking you to pay anyway but if memory serves me right the link to the free one would be maybe the 4ty or 5th from the list.

Nero and in Nero Smart Start pick Make a VCD, usually works for me and with various formats for a DVD player.

you can do this with t.v tuner in&out let the vadio played and saved on your computer than can put it on cd by w&r cd
