You problaby will need some special tools. I know my hubby had to rent some to take out something last year. Call the auto part store and ask them. We use O'Reilly.
Good luck!

I am assuming when you say the top bolts that you are referring to the top bell housing bolts. The easiest way to do this is to remove the crossmember at the rear of the transmission and let it hang down far enough to let you get to the top bolts. And then use a long extension bar 30 inches or longer works well and a flex or swivel socket.I believe the bolt heads are 13mm metric bolts if memory serves me correctly.Good luck it is a pain in the A$$ but this is the easiest way I have found.

I've taken 2 out. Those top two are a genuine pain in the tail. You can use a box end to get them started and a socket with lots of extensions and a swivel to finish it up. Good luck!

Use a very long extension bar (maybe even several short ones). you may also have to lossen the motor mount bolts and trans support so the trans can angle downward. be careful of the distributer if it's in the back.

I take this is a manual trans? if so then you need to unbolt the bell housing from the trans where the clutch is loacated. the top bolt are best taken out in the engine compartment

loosing the mount to motor bolt & tranny jack it down the tail end to get to the bolts.but the tranny end you need to remove the crossmember on a floorjack on straps just enough, make sure you check for wires/lines connected to it you don't want to replace something else right.
