I researched for days before deciding and I decided on Zen Vision M and have not been dissapointed. Don't buy an IPod! They are not as good, Vision M has better qualities. Apple wants to rope everyone in (and they have) by having you convert everything to ITunes, and buy accessories. Then you are stuck, if you want to change later you will have to convert everything back, a total pain. Also, you can't use music subscription services with IPod, a buck a song instead. Seriously, don't be a lemming, that is the main reason everyone has an IPod, because everyone else has one. Get the Vision M.

The Zen Vision: M offers the best battery life, the widest range of features, and the best deal for the price.
The iPod with Video is the simplest (sort of). it has the worst durability and video battery life (2.5 hours).
The Toshiba Gigabeat S is the smallest, and supports Starz Vongo. It has the worst battery life for audio (12 hours).

The Apple iPod is the best one out there, because there are so many after market accessories for it, plus it looks the best. If you don't need so much storage space, the iPod Nano is really great because it is so small - something you will appreciate the more you use it.

Ipod. it has more accesories and so many diferent things including cars are being designed to support ipod.
