Your question is a bit confusing, but I'm guessing you mean that he says that love isn't required for trust? Thats true, you can trust someone without love. But if you really love them, you trust them as well.

Couples only have mutual friends? Not buying into that one. you have yours, he has his adn some of them may not get along with the others. So yoiu're not always going to have mutual friends. If he's not trusting you with "your" friends, then something is wrong.

What is love without trust, in other words if you cant trust the one you love,then who can you trust? Tell him that there is life before marriage, no matter whether you like it or not, its still there and then theres the life you two build after marriage, so there were friends before on both sides , ex boyfriends and girlfriends too, and there will be friends made during marriage too. Unless he locks you in the castle tower and keeps you isolated from people, you will meet new friends; fact of life.It seems like you two have some unresolved questions you need to work out before you say "Ido" or you may regret it later. sounds like a strange attitude to have and mybe a little controling, like he doesn't want you to have your own friends?
