A new Popey's Chicken open close to my home a few weeks ago and I decided to try it for lunch. It was the worse meal I have ever had.

KFC rules the fried chicken world...Popeye should stick to sea food...

KFC, boring chicken place your parents always took you to as a child.........the best, Church's and Popeyes, good stuff Mainerd !
If nothing else, the side dishes at Church's and Popeyes are the BEST and so far from not boring. Dare you to say the same thing about KFC, (yawn), baked beans, plain mashed and plain gravy, plain macaroni and cheese. Oh well, to each his own. Sometimes they tend to be a little on the greasy side, but hey, fried foods are supposed to be that way, duh. Aren't you a little scared of the authenticity of fried chicken that hasn't any oil on it at all, where did it go, why isn't it there, something is not right at the Sanders I say.

Sorry you had a bad experience. Not sure what you got for lunch, I just stick to the spicy chicken, cole slaw and biscuits (which are to die for!) Love that chicken at Popeye's!
KFC and their mutated chicken is disgusting.

Popeyes is the ish. Spicy chicken with red beans and rice. Much better than kentucky fried crap.

they must not be doing it right...in texas it's really good...I'm not big on fried chicken,but when I'm going to eat it,I like popeyes...maybe cause we are in the south and they take fried chicken pretty serious up here?

I sure don't. I've had it about 3 or 4 times and each time it was terrible so I'm not going to eat it again.
My ex-husband was crazy for it and now hates it saying it went downhill. In fact, that's what everyone I know who liked it says.
