Hello I am a protective mother who found explicit porn sites visited, posted ads xxx and xxx email received from the above sites. My 2 teenage children and spouse say they didn't do it. I don't know that much about this stuff. I can't afford a program to help me, is there a free safe tool or download I could use. My neice 15 just got caught in cybersex. If anyone can help me find out my family members passwords I could find out which is interacting to these sites, posting ads, receiving email. My daughter is 15 same age as her first cousin who was just caught in cyber sex. The other is my son 17 and spouse. It scares me to death, you see too many predators on the news. Please Help a Protective Mother find their passwords please. I tried and it says please sign in, password etc. I tried talking with my family and they all get defensive and mad at me. Let me know if there's a good, safe, tool, program, directions on how to find them out. Thank you all for your time. HELP

The poster named "Bill" is correct. If your kids are more technically literate than you are you will NOT defeat them using software or technology.

The only way to be a protective mother is to keep the computer in a public area in your house where it is visible to you.

Also note that you may be wanting to get these passwords for ethically good reasons, but if you are employing software to compromise userids and passwords on these sites you may be committing a crime and may face legal action. Anyone providing you with information on how to crack passwords for the sites may be assisting in a crime.

Please also note that if you are not technically savvy you may simply have a computer which is infected with malware, spyware, viruses and other malicious software from hackers which will draw incredible volumes of questionable material to your computer. It may not be a member of your family, but a 16 year old in another country using your computer to cover his own tracks by using your system indirectly.

If you do not have up-to-date reputable anti-virus on your computer or are not keeping your computer correctly and currently patched with all the necessary security patches from Microsoft you are almost certainly not in control of your own computer, especially if you use a high-speed internet connection.

I agree with the concept of moving the computer to a publicly viewed area as well. Also if you have XP (maybe others) you should keep people you are worried about off the administrator account and change the password without notice. Open a guest ac count for the house. Then drop a password on the files accessing the net through security menu on right click. Internet access by permission only. Make sure downloaders like limewire save to shared files so they show up on all accounts.

Your problem is genuine and serious. It does not have an easy solution. To educate the children of dangers in doing what they may feel as thrill of youth is the real way to put an end to this problem. You can do it alone by taking your children in confidence and also group meetings can be held and children should be made aware of the dangers in careless use of Internet.Schools and community centres can organise teenager club fests and you can use the occasion to teach them a few good things. It is difficult but has to be treated in this manner to get good results. These ways will have a far reaching effect on the minds of the teenagers and it will be useful to them when they grow up and are faced with similar problems posed by their teenage sons and daughters.

No computer unless u are there or they will just keep doing it.They are loving the attention and unaware of the dangers, they are young and dumb like all kids their age.If u have to remove the PC do so.Check the history every day to see what they have been looking at.Anything on the net for school that they need,is at the library. So then u don't need the net.But still can use it for school to print things etc.sometimes if you need to write in a pass/word just start with A and go through toZ and it might pop up.They are sometimes kept in there .If u need help how to do things on the pc,feel free to email me.good luck.

I recently just found out My boyfriend/fiancé of 7 years had sex with someone off of Craigslist/back page while he was away at work. Now he's been accusing me of cheating and having sex with someone in the bathroom while hes in the next room and can hear it. I don't know if he's acting like this because of a guilty conscience or if he's losing it. ( there's more to the reasons why I think he losing it). We have a 4 year old little girl y to

I had a similar challenge with my 17 y/o son downloading garbage like that.
I for Automated Porn Eliminator from download.com and now, in order for any porn sites to be displayed, there is a password that only I know required to view it... and since I don't download the stuf... challenge solved.

Install this program when no one is looking. It's free and you can have it setup to see what people are typing and in what windows (AIM or Notepad for example) and it should even capture your passwords as well from reading the description. Hope it helps.

Move the computer to an area in the house where your children can be supervised. Spying won't help because the kids are more computer literate than you.
