i reckon the higher states of the royal family know more than they will ever let on

In times past any royal would never have been allowed to divorce. Especially, the wife of the monarch in waiting and mother to his heir.
They would have had to learn to shut-up and put-up with their lot.
In Scotland the Royal woman were provided with their own accommodation - Linlithgow Palace. If any were daft enough to cause disruption or embarrassment to the reigning monarch, then they were transferred to anothe rfortification - Blackness Castle for protective custody.
England had the equivalent in the Tower Of London.
The gallows or the chopping block was the last resort.

Technically she wasn't murdered but she was running from the paparazzi (the press)and got into a wreck and died so they say she was murdered by the paparazzi.

No, four hedgehogs, high on crack leapt out and punctured the tyres on her car. Then an angry beaver nicked her wallet and fled the scene.
