If the site you're pulling from has RSS, just setup an RSS page on your site...

If you have some understanding of php and html,
check out http://www.geckotribe.com/rss/carp/

I just installed it on my site and am in the process of customizing it to conform to my sites look and feel.

You may also want to try the following sites:

http://www.feedroll.com
http://www.rss2html.com
http://www.feedburner.com

1. You can use Asp Code / PHP Code to get particular information from a website.

2. RSS is also good option
3. If the site is having Database like access or sql you can take permission from that site holder and can get access of database to show his database's data on your website.
