it just depends on how bad the scratch is. i used to work for a major rental business and i told everyone for minor scratches to put old style turtle wax with carnuba wax the disc applying it from the center of the cd to the outside of the disc and let the disc sit for about 30 minutes or until a very heavy haze sets in then buff the game disc and take off all the wax and all the minor scratches should be gone, but if it is a major one you may just have to buy a new one because we had people coming in all the time saying that there disc doctor does not work, any of those disc repair kits are crap and do not work, beileve me we had too many people come in saying it ruined there game for it be a couple cases and of people not using them right, there all crap dont use them, so you may just want to save yourself time and money and just buy the game all over again then wasting your money on anything else

Buy a fluid-based CD scratch-repair kit.

Get a soft, lint-free cloth, such as one made for cleaning eyeglasses, if your scratch-repair kit doesn't come with cloths or swabs.

Follow the manufacturer's instructions. Wipe across the CD, working from the inside out in straight lines. Never wipe in a circular pattern.

Repeat the process, if necessary.

First wash the disc thoroughly with heat water and liquid diswashing cleansing soap. Dry thoroughly. Then, circulate out to a ironmongery shop and purchase a small can of "Brasso", a liquid-y brass polish. utilising a gentle clean fabric, prepare the Brasso to the disc, rubbing from the interior hollow in the direction of the rim....not in a around action. Rub thoroughly, and then take a clean factor of the fabric, and rubbing from the hollow out in the direction of the sting, polish the disc's floor till the polish is bumped off and the disc looks shiny. Now attempt the disc back. generally that'll do the trick. good success.

Search around the internet for repair kits, I've seen this scratch repair pencil in a magazine, it looks like a colored pencil, but you mark of the scratch and it fills it in. Nifty

Just buy disc Dr or one of those other disc repair devices. Or, take it to your local video store and they will clean it for a few bucks.

can you view through the disc? is the information part (the pictured side) damaged? Than your CD is broken. The silver side might be repaired as stated by others.
