being English it doesn't have to be proper china that i drink out of but just a mug, and it does taste funny out of glass and you cant see the colour well (unlike white china) so you cant tell how strong it is

Some Europeans may drink tea from a glass cup, but that is a minority. Some Europeans also hold a sugar cube between their teeth and suck their tea through the sugar cube. But not all do that, either.
Most Europeans I've met, and most European cities I've been in, have had china tea-cups (nicely shaped with a fluted handle) and served coffee in straight sided china cups.

I don't know but it certainly tastes better in a china cup. I think it could be something to do with the look of it. As far as I've seen most people in Europe drink tea without milk and looks ok in glass. White tea in a glass doesn't look right. lol

I am British and I have travelled a bit in mainland Europe and have rarely drunk tea from a glass anywhere. Usually tea is drunk from a cup or a mug, just the same as in Britain.
Maybe further East they drink from a glass but I have never been further East than Berlin or Vienna.

I am English and I drink tea out of china, glass and plastic cups and beakers. I`m not fussy, as long as the tea is hot :-)

I hate the thick mugs and paper cups. i like tea, and want to drink it each and every couple of hours, yet even as i bypass out, I drink espresso because I cant stand the nice and comfy milky water that has had a tea bag dipped out and in of it.

Firstly -- Most of them DON'T drink tea out of glass cups. But those that do quickly develop calluses on their fingers to deal with the heat.
