Beethoven is always great, Tchaikovski (there are 5 different spellings of this if you go looking for it somewhere), Mozart is good, but if you aren't sure you could always ask a music major (like me). Some specific pieces that are gorgeous are Pachelbel's Canon in D (originally for string quartet, but some really lovely orchestral versions and solo piano versions exist also). The Overature from Tchaikovski's Romeo and Juliet, Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata (all three movements are beatutiful). These are mostly quieter pieces, but I'm guessing for baby music that's probably what you're looking for. Hope that helps!

It depends on what style of classical music you want. One of my favourites is the Farandole from the L'Arlesienne suite No 2 by Georges Bizet.

Ravel's Concerto in G for Guitar is great, as are all the selections on RCA's Stressbusters CD.

My son was colicky as an infant, and oddly enough, Genesis's "Spot the Pigeon" EP is what we always used on him--put him out every time.

Vivaldi - The Four Seasons, listen to it and pick your favorite parts. Spring seems like a good choice for a baby.
