They say that Chinese is the language to learn nowadays because of the coming financial horizon, however TODAY the language that will get you ahead is Spanish. Being able to speak to Spanish speaking people is a wonderful asset to give to any business or community.

if you are bilingual is a good thing, they said that a bilingual person counts for two, and if you are trilingual even better.
But I recommend English and Spanish are the most used language around the world.

I guess it depends on what type of work you are going to do. If you plan on working in a field that takes you to such places as California, Arizona, or Texas, Spanish would be helpful. If you are going to work in a field that has a lot of manufacturing, Mandarin Chinese would be useful. I am currently working in China in the manufacturing sector, and learning Chinese has been a great boost. On the other hand, I also speak Thai. It hasn't been useful since I got out of the military!

Chinese or Indian will be the most sought after langs in the future.
But depending on your location that may change: like if you live in the southern US you may need to learn to speak spanish.

Depends on what area you'll be in. Spanish is a good one almost anywhere. French is okay, but not as often used.
