I went to live8, but only a screening of it beside hyde park (still pretty cool) anyway I just want to know who else went there and who is now donating money to aid africa or doing anything to help. Also what do you think of the event and if you aren't doing anything to help africa, why aren't you?

I was in Hyde park but haven't donated any money since imedeiately after, got sidetracked by the bombings in London and Live8 was kind of forgotten after that.

No didn't go & no not giving them one red cent. The organisers have more than enough money and assets to save the WHOLE of Africa & other 3rd world countries.
If its such a big deal to them, why dont they give up their wealth and save the people. Surely they couldn't just be in it for the Glory and fame and the possible Knighthoods from the Queen??

Its a scam. Food Aid hardly ever reaches the people it is meant for & the leaders of these starving nations are fat, rich and have a roof over their heads.

CHARITY BEGINS AT HOME. 13 million BRITISH people live in poverty , which includes 4 million children.

I understand aid in Africa is needed but I also think there are several children in my own country that need help as well.

I hope no one donates money. We need it here as in take care of your own first. I am really tired of countrys needing our help. When will they return the help that they have recieved. NEVER. they will just charge us more for things and take advantage of our kindness. Let them starve.
