Well, look at the role models these young girls have..

I am not one to blame everything on the media, but how often do you see a sex scene on TV or a soap opera? More than once daily is probably your answer...And out of all of these times..how many times do these characters stop to put on condoms..I'm guessing 0....and they never get pregnant..and if they do it is a fairytale...

Parenting also has something to do with it..sometimes it is just in the family cycle and young girls do not know how to break the cycle...

But ultimately it is the young girls issue..My mom had my sister when she was 15 and me when she was 19....I am now 24 without kids...My sister is 28 without kids..we decided to berak the cycle of teenage motherhood..so it CAN be done...It comes up to personal strength and not giving into the pressures of what others are doing...


And last but not least..some girls are just hoes..lol..some of these young girls are trying to have babies cause they want somoeone to love and want someone to love them in return...

Lack of education on what gets you pregnant - at an early enough age to make a difference and lack of supervision and/or birth control devices available at the time hormones and emotions sometimes override logical thinking.

Also, despite the advances make in female self-determination since the 1960's, there are still too many women of all ages that believe their worth in the world depends on having a man, and too many men and boys that will take advantage of that believe to pressure a woman into having intercourse.

Because society has reached a new low in shallowness -- preying on people's insecurities to the point where young women actually believe that the only way to gain a man's respect and lasting love is through quick and unprotected sex, and horny men take full advantage of this.

If we as a society are going to start healing from this, it's about time for the "gatekeepers" (the women), to ask for more -- MUCH more -- to get through the gate, wouldn't you agree?

Respect IS as respect DOES -- and I'd say it's about time men start EARNING it -- instead of demanding it. Hip-hop culture's horrifying objectification of women as objects doesn't help at all -- no matter how "hip" you think it is -- it has certainly set society BACK a few decades, and to me that's scary that pop music can be THAT hypnotic.

Recognize the TRUTH and FREE yourselves, women of America, and we can get this under control!

I think that the reason that so many young girls are getting pregnant now days is partly because of the fact that we have basically allowed sex to become a fashion statement. The rest of the reason is because of the fact that these girls are trying to subsitute something by having sex.

My sister got pregnant with a way older man when she was 16. I think it was because our father wasn't around and was too involved with his other kids. We lived with our gram and there was no man to love her so she found it somewhere else. The baby she knew would love her back too. Oh and it's become almost a norm not such a big thing anymore.

We degraded woman. So now men and boys think of girls as sex objects. What we can do is educate people one at a time. Telling them that girls are special and deserve respect. And that there are girls out there that are healthier that portray themselves
with dignity. God will deal with the rest of us men and woman.

Because family values aren't upheld anymore. They aren't taught that you should save yourself til you are married to have sex, and when you have sex, you always run in the chance of becoming pregnant. Even if they use protected sex. So USA should straighten up!!
