...before they provoke a firestorm in the middle east?

Once the civil war really starts in Iraq, Iran and the rest will pile in, especially when the US eventually cuts and runs.

Some of us Americans are not happy with his decision to have our troops there in the first place, but this moron does what he wants. Don't judge us all by our leader (and I use that term loosely).

Are you crazy. Grow up. America does more for the world than anyone. We feed the hungry all over the world. We come to the rescue when natural disasters strike. Even in non-friendly countries. Oh yeah not to mention we would all be speaking German (if any of us were still alive) or be living under communist rule if it wasn't for those pesky Americans. maybe if you were some poor Kurdish guy who's family was killed with mustard gas for no reason what so ever than you would have a different opinion of what our country actually does for the world.

And to the writer who wants to have sanctions against America from OPEC.

Go ahead, American ingenuity always wins out. We will find a better, Cheaper and more efficient way to run our vehicles and the rest of the world will come crawling back to us with forgiveness. And if it wasn't for the tree hugging liberals out there we wouldn't need OPEC we would be able to go to Alaska and drill for our own oil.

GOD BLESS THE USA
without them where would we be!!!

You can't blame an entire nation for what is happening in the middle east. Even if the Americans pulled out, you cu*ts can't be trusted. You are constantly fighting amongst yourselves. Palestinians and Jews for example. Again you can cry about it saying that the Jews stole your land and blame everybody else apart from yourselves. Why don't you get of your soppy ar*e and realise that the rest of the world does not owe you cu*ts a favor. You are a set of mindless inbreds and America would be doing the rest of the world a favor if they got rid of all of you. But we know that won't happen because there are to many do gooders in society. Even if America was not in the middle east, you would be fighting with someone else. Simply put you are a set of parasites!!!!!

Um, maybe it would be helpful to know that our US president has about a 30% approval rate. At this point mostly all Americans do not support him. Many Americans do not agree with the way things are being run
But, also remember we are the richest nation in the world, so naturally most countries will ask us for our help, resources and soldiers. But, good luck with trying to stand up to Americans, noone else was able to do it yet!!!!!

I think people of the world are ungrateful of america's generosity. Our good out does our bad deeds.I dont agree with the Iraq war or any war for that matter but america is not always the bad guy...what about hitler ?Ever see an American persident order the death of 6 million innocent people? just because of their race? I think not.. we all depend on eachother in this world to keep the finiacial rivers flowing, america buys goods from china which feeds the chinese people, and so on and so forth.China now depends on nearly as much fossile fuel as america. We're all human we all need our basic needs met .the focus in this world should be on peace on all parts .we need all new world leaders ones who are ready for change instead of these same issues terrorism, religion, oil, and nuclear war. Im 34 years old and these issues have been around since as long as my memory has been intact. So bring on the sanctions but think of the countries who sell americans oil they will go broke... why because they need us to survive too!

Well, the 'firestorm' in the Middle East has already begun, thanks to Western countries interffering. Yes we do need the rest of the world to stand up to the US Governemnt, but what we really need, is a united world, and a common goal of peace, thats the only way countries, races and cultures can really attempt to live in relative harmony with one another.

The Americans have been helping out all these other countries.
And all you people slandering our president Bush should be ashamed. I definitely feel our country would have gone down if the "GAY-right loving vote for me" person would of won the election. How can the USA be respected if we didn't have Bush as president but these "whatever flies" people would of been elected? So many countries hate us, it's been our history, but I haven't seen them doing much to us now, they just bluff. But as the Roman Empire fell after all these people became so immoral and hung up in their sexual desires, don't worry you liberals, you'll all be crying then cause that's when this country will fall as well!!!

It's not Americans. You can't say Americans do this, or Americans do that... I didn't do anything to the middle east, so don't go generalizing Americans. It's governments that do things like this. Blame them... Those who actually go to war and fight for something they don't even know about are just pawns. They don't know what they're doing... Write your local senator if you're an American; believe me, they'll read your letter if you have a valid argument.

Um, have you been to Iraq? Have you actually been in combat there?
I know soldiers who have, and they say, "What civil war? The Iraqi people are glad we're here."
And while Bush is president, we will NOT cut and run. If the war protesters will ever shut up, we can just get our job done and get out, and there WON'T be a "civil war".
