you've had a wonderful relationship with your partner for say 20/30 years & one of you dies. You're gutted & promise to " wait for each other to be re-united" After a while you meet someone else, perhaps marry etc & have maybe 20 or so happy years with them too. When you then snuff it & your original partner is waiting at the pearly gates for you does it all kick off cos you've been with somebody else?Does Peter have to get between you like them blokes on Jeremy Kyle?

look love dont get me wrong right i feel for you, but lets at least try and be realistic, how on earth is he going tpo know whats going on if he's past away? And also just look at this way do you seriosly think that he would want you be uynhappy? or do you think he would want you to get on and be happy!!!? As if he truly loved you when you were both alive then he wouldnt mind and he would want you to be happy wouldnt he. Basically what i am saying is he would want you to be happy so do whatever makes you feel happy.

Well to those 'selfish individuals' that have never lost anyone they dont have a bloody clue what its like when someone on here shatters your dreams in one sentence.

I always believed there was somewhere special for our souls to rest i dont know where that is but as mum dies of cancer i hope she is somewhere more exciting than where she left. I think if i were to believe like you do, i would say hubby wouldn't be angry i would say he would be pleased that you moved on with your life.

Its called guilt and you shouldn't feel it-- it's what he would have wanted-- you to be happy

Well from everything I've heard about "upstairs" it is a place of love. There is no jealousy, or anger. So I would expect that your first partner will be very happy to see you and will not care one bit that you moved on.

This question was posed to Jesus and his answer recorded in the Bible.

Jesus was asked by a group called the Sadducees this question in another form. The answer Jesus gave was, in brief form, that we are neither married or given in marriage in heaven.

Hope this helps..

Peter

knowing what happens when we die is a complicated thing. that cannot be proven by science or religion.

all i can say is look into both and decide which you think is true.

I am reading "Mere Christianity" by c.s lewis (he wrote "the lion the witch and the wardrobe").

bye

All Earthly concerns and Pettiness are gone, it shouldn't affect a reunion of loved ones at all, at least IMHO...

You're thinking too physically. It will be more mental, spiritual. Your soul can be with everyone at once, so your feelings will be with everyone you loved.
