Gods in Alabama by Joshilyn Jackson
B**ch Posse (I dont know the author)
I really recommend Gregory Mcguire's books because they are Fantasy but not very out there. I have so far read Wicked and Confessions of an ugly step-sister, they were both great so I would recommend anything by him.
The one percent doctrine just came out, it has a lot to do with politics, although I havent read it so I dont know whether it is good or not.
Im wanting to read Mayflower next, it is a top best seller.
If you are looking to purchase I suggest Barnes and Noble
If not, the library is great.
Amazon.com has a great selection and you can buy used books, so they are a lot cheaper, but you do have to have a credit card.

Memoirs of a Geisha I thought was an excellent book.
Don't watch the movie. The movie didn't capture the heartbreak and reality that the book did.

If you like fantasy try King Fortis the Brave. It's a fast-paced book that will keep you turning the pages. The only thing I didn't like about it was that it came to an end, but there is supposed to be a second book coming soon.

Iain Banks is a brilliant Scottish writer, I can't seem to describe his work though. Maybe that's a good thing. Read "The Business" He also writes incredibly imaginative sci-fi if you are prepared to trust by judgement (he is like no one else) Read "Feersum Enjinn" I cannot recommend his stuff highly enough.
