A couple of ounces of chocolate a day isn't bad. Dark chocolate even has health benefits. However, if you're thinking of a box of assorted chocolates daily, yep, it's fattening.

Most chocolate, even the plain pure dark chocolate, has loads of sugar. So what do you think? Of course, it's fattening. And if you were thinking milk chocolate and all the commercial bars loaded with nuts, raisins, caramel, peanut butter, whatever.... you better skip a meal when you have one.

they are fattening if you eat it very often and a ton of it.. eating it once of a while is okay!
just don't over stuff yourself..
but since you love chocolate like me, you can either do that or eat a lot of it but make sure you excersize a lot.. running really helps for chocolate lovers..

oohh! i love chocolate too! but white chocolate is suppose to be the best. but hershey's has some chocolate bars out that are "extra dark" those are the ones with the antioxidants and such. but you only eat a little at a time, it's too rich to eat the whole thing at one time.

yea, they are. but it doesn't matter if they're fattening or not. as long as you're happy eating them, (gaining) weight would be the last thing on your mind! =)

Yes, but generally everything is if you eat it in large amounts. Just treat yourself with some chocolate everyday... and work out!
