I have had a crush on 1 girl for over a year and a half now. we are really good friends, and i wish we were more but she doesn't. she also has a boyfriend. i've talked to some of my friends at school and they say to move on, and i've tried but for some reason cannot.

If you keep wanting her and waiting for her, you'll have less of a chance than if you move on and she realizes what she doesn't have anymore (you). If she knows she can have you, it's no big deal, but when she realizes you're not waiting on her anymore, then she may want you. Do you get my drift?

you have the advantage you say you are really good friends
talk nicely to her as the good friend you are and discretely talk for your self
maybe if shes taken find somebody available its easier for the 3 of you and nobody will be hurt life is full of having a crush this wont be your first or last
and always talk honestly and friendly to her you don't want to loose your friendship over something that's been wrongly said

does this girl know how you feel? to be honest there's not much you can do but be a good friend to her. be there for her when it all goes wrong, just be there for her. if anythings sposed to happen it will. right now, the best advice I can give you is to try not to concentrate so much on trying to be her boyfriend but on being a good friend. being a good friend will at least make her realise how much of a good person you really are.. xx

You have 2 options in my opinion:
1- wait for the right moment, when she'll break up.. u can stand by her, and later on express how u feel. Treat her nicely, but don't do anything to harm her realtionship.
2- If she's happy, she's happy, leave her and move on. I advise u to take your distance, just to keep her out of your mind and find someone else.
Good luck

Just stay good friends with her. If it is meant to be, it will happen. If not, you still have a good friend out of it.

Listen to your friends. You're not going anywhere with this girl.
