Dear Ladymaggic
ofcourse anyone will tell u that answering a Q is better because u will get point and try to don't ask because u will lose 5 points
but actually we are not here for getting points
we are here to share our knowledges and experineces about some things.
some time asking a Q and find a true answer for it is more usefull from answering a Q just for 2 points.
we are here
everyone in his/her place
some have experience in computer, some in love, some in politics
and ...
ofcourse u know some things that i don't know
so u help me in some u know and i will help u in some i know.
Best Regards

In Yahoo! Answers better is to answer because answering to other questions you win 2 points, and asking a question you lose 5 points. But in real life questions and anwers are smart things!

asking a question takes -5 points
answering a question will give you 2 points
if its the best answer thenthey will give you 10 points
if ur best answer is voted as the best then u get another 50 points
so people like to answer rather than asking

I'm not very good at asking questions, you only have to look at the three I asked to see that. I enjoy answering them although many probably makes little sense as I type as fast as I think and I write what I think of the top of my head.

I don't think this is a game. When I have a real question, I ask. When I know the answer to a question I answer to help the person who's asking. I think this is how it works. All sort of silly questions asked for the sake of playing, like "how are you" and "what's the weather like" are ruining the project.

Well, asking questions costs you 5 points, whereas aanswering questions gains you two. Other ways to gain points is to vote on unresolved questions, give thumbs ups or thumbs downs for resolved answers, and of course visiting the site...

Asking a question "costs" 5 points. Answering a question "earns" 2 points. It's a no-brainer! It's better to answer!

both are fun and interesting.we can still find silly questions.the most happiest and contended moment is when we get a good response for our question.answering makes us think.
mostly i browse thro' all the answers as i am a student i get more info from this.i copy some info and try some practically at once on my system.
