Well, for screen resolution.. You got righ click on the desktop and then properties and then settings and then set it to 1024*768 32 bit

and to know which video card you have.. You can go to Help and Support centre and there CLICK HARDWARE DETAILS... it will show everything in detail !

yeah press the windows key(the one with the flag) and R at the same time. in the Open box, type dxdiag as the Man just said. When the Dx Diagnostic Tool opens, click on the tab that says Display. all the info will be here. If you have a 17" screen your resolution is probably already set at max.

As for the Ati Radeon X300 SE it usually has 128mb of graphics memory. In terms of architecture it's very similar to the older 9600 XT and that was a good enough card. You should have TV Out so you can hook your PC up to a TV monitor. Also, it has a DVI socket which is a digital connection for your TFT monitor. Way to go!

Most of the new games which have many graphics and video require a video card/graphics adapter to have a memory size of 128 MB or at least 64 MB. This memory is independent of RAM and is used to display moving videos.

To find out the memory of your video card, right click on the desktop, click on Properties, to open the Display Properties. Click on Settings and then click Advanced. A new window will open showing the monitor and adapter properties. Click on Adapter and you would get the details of your video card.

To know about screen resolution, follow as above up to Settings. You will find the screen resolution displayed there and you can change it to your needs.

Hope this helps.

I have the exact same model PC as you. I tend to run games in 800x600 resolution, and never really had any stress with it until stuff like F.E.A.R. and Oblivion came out. If your PC starts feeling a bit slow, the best thing you could do is get more RAM. You'll have two slots empty on your motherboard, put at least 512mb in each. It's a cheap fix, and you won't believe the improvement. Good luck mate.

Ok, go to the desktop.
Now, click the right button of your mouse.
Choose "properties".
Now, you'll see a window called "display properties", so choose "settings". Here you can see the resolution you currently use, and you can also choose a different one.

Now, about the card, I cant help you with that, sorry.

1) Right-click on an empty spot of your desktop, and click on PROPERTIES (brings up DISPLAY PROPERTIES)...
2) Click the settings tab...
3) You can now see (and change) the SCREEN RESOLUTION and COLOR QUALITY...
4) Click the ADVANCED button, and you will have access to more (system dependent) settings...
