my all time favourite double album is 'the wall' by pink floyd because not only is the music totally outstanding but so is the design for the album cover..

Wings---Venus and Mars.
I haven't been one to collect music. Not one to collect double albums either. But this album is a classic and it was the first double album I ever bought.

Probably Elton John's... I can't remember the name of it though. And why do I like it? I'm not really sure. I just like it. It has his older songs on the first CD and the newer ones on the second. The older stuff like "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road" is just classic.
