every1 is saying myspace is harmful but its really not.. can some1 pleas explain y they say its harmful

It depends on what you put on it and what you use it for. People are getting up in arms about myspace because stupid kids put their whole life story on there...shoot, if there was a survey that asked them for their social security number they'd probably fill it out. Another thing is that there's creepy people on there that try and try to use it as a dating service, and parents don't like that.
I personally enjoy myspace because I like to be able to customize it and share SOME information with my friends. It gives them the ability to see what I like and dislike. I also like that because I'm more of a quiet, shy person in public, so it's easier to express myself online. It's all about how you use it.. you should never give away too much information, especially online.

Twelve year olds putting their name, address, phone number, picture, and personal information an a website free and open to the public sounds like pedophile central. On the news they talked about a girl being abducted due to her activity on myspace. I don't remember the details, but please learn about internet safety before telling your life story on a website.

Because some people put too much information on the 'space; and some evil people are using the 'space to solicit and stalk young and inexperienced people.

It must be easy for a child or teenager to get on their and find adults who are willing to play,but i beleive you can do that on any web site.Parents should just monitor their kids behavior when allowing them to play online.God bless:O)

they say it harmfull because people who are older then you would ask to be your friend then ask you to meet up with them but if you smart enough which i bet you are you will say no but some people don't say no and then get kid napped or harrassed

and people pretending to be an age they are not.
also people giving too much info on their my space, full name, birthdate.... and so on
