Ben.....what are you talking about?
Does the question say that I'm a Christian?
Does the question say I'm straight?
Please READ the question for what it says, not what it DOESN'T say.

A "Christinsanity" that says it's okay to be gay? Good... luck... there. The only "flaming" being done is by the thumpers themselves. Being gay and being cHRISTIAN? Who cares, besides Fred "I'm a loon" Phelps, and Jerry "Fatass" Falwell?

Point being. cHRISTIAN gays should take a lesson from LaVey: "If a man smite you on one cheek, SMASH him on the other!" Don't take any crap from the "bible as a weapon" groups.
I'm straight, by the way, and far from cHRISTIAN, but I've said my piece, and will defend it to the death. Gays, praise gOD that you have strength enough to be honest and open, and ultimately, at peace with you are. Power to the people, baby.

I was raised a christian, but when I started my bi lifestyle and started working at a strip club I knew it was wrong so I have not been to church in a long time. I still pray, I still read the Bible and I know what I am doing is wrong. I am the perfect example of a hypocrite. That is why I don't they to preach to anyone.

Being gay is wrong. Taking my clothes off for money is wrong. The many many many people I have slept and the many more I will sleep with is wrong. When I am ready, in the near future, (after college) I will start a normal job, find an understanding man that can accept my horrible past and get married and raise a family. We will go to church and I will teach my kids not to be the way I was.

There is no such thing as a "Gay Christian" A true Christian can not be gay because they know it is wrong. I can not consider myself a "true Christian" because of my lifestyle.

The pastor of the church I used to got knows what I do. I keep in touch with some of the people, they do not Judge me and they have told me that when I am ready, I am welcome back. I talk to my pastor on a regular basis, he does not tell me that I am disgusting and horrible, he just prays for me.

There are many Christian faith communities that accept homosexuals. Some of them still are struggling with gay ordination and marriage, others aren't. Some are new, some are the rebirth of groups that are very old.

United Church of Christ (descended from the pilgrims), Unitarian Universalist (descended from the pilgrims), Most Episiscopal and Evangelical Lutheran Church in America parishes, many, many United Methodist parishes, many United Presbyterian parishes, and of course groups like the Metropolitan Community Church, the American Catholic Church and other newer and smaller denominations that primarily split off over this very issue.

Well honestly your life is your life who cares what anyone else thinks or says about you, if they are saying you are disgusting they are jealous or have feelings they will never act on because they let their beliefs overcome them. I would not worry about it honestly, i am christian i am gay i could care less what my peers say to me. you get to a point where you tune them out, or stop socializing with them all together. Tell them you are happy with your lifestyle, and if god created every man and woman as an image of himself/herself that you were made special. Also, if they try to slam you with bible facts, you can turn that on them as well if you read in the bible there are alot of things str8 people overlook about their own religion. just tell them you don't approve of their lifestyle either.

For a gay Christian growing up in a fundamentalist church this can be very difficult, and most leave the church.

The majority of mainstream Christians do not find gay men and women to be horrible and disgusting, while they may find homosexual acts to be sinful, and may limit the role of gays in their church.

Still other Christians, like those in the United Church of Christ, Deciples of Christ, Unitarian Universalists, MCC, etc often fully welcome Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Trans persons into the life of the church without reservation.

Those Christains who seek to live out their Christianity, often seek out one of these denominations.

How can you call yourself a Christian when you persecute others in the name of religion? Who made you judge and jury? Mind your own business because you look horrible and disgusting yourself. Faith is not what gets you to heaven. Believe all you want but if there is no love, you have done nothing.

Go to, why can't I own a canadian? Just type it in the search part. It's a letter that is so funny you should pee first. It will humble ANY bible thumper. I mean no disrespect to true Christians who believe in nifty things like kindness and not judging but there are some out there that could out evil the devil.

Find a gay church and theres bound to be a book or pamphlet that debunk every misinterpretation christians have. Then of course just ignore the ignorant who only believe what they want to. Then of course you could tell them they are going to hell for using contraceptives and eating pork. Also for judging your lifestyle.

Ah, but are you a Christian of that faction if you live against it's rules? Perhaps you need to pick a Christianity that says it's ok to be gay.

My first response to your primary question is and has been John 1:12, which says "Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God."

Other verses include Romans 8:1-2 "Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of life set me free from the law of sin and death."

In short, I know that God loves me and forgives me, not because I'm gay or straight, but because I believe in Him. That's all there is to it and nothing else. Check out Ephesians 2:8-9 "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast."
