Although there may continue to be a decline in numbers of girls born and surviving past the age of two (selective abortion - yes even in VERY rural India and infanticide), the future holds improvement of quality of life and life choices for all Indian girls. More and more Indian women are fighting for rights and recognition, education for girls is very slowly being increased and life is already improving for many female children and young women.
