At my daughters school the band teacher had the kids that wanted to be in band try each instrument to see if they had the proper form and ability needed for that particular instrument. She was told she would be best at the clarinet or the saxaphone. She decided to play the clarinet because her brother plays the saxaphone. Other than that, go for the instrument that you are most interested in. Otherwise, you will not be willing to put in the time and effort to practice and improve. Also, don't forget, you can always change instruments if you decide you don't like the one you start with. Good luck!

There is a big need for female bass players. A violin would also be a good choice. It's used alot in rock and is great if you're into country music. You may need to try several instruments before you find the one that is just right for you.

try the piano. there is no breath control or buildup of saliva as in brass or woodwind, and no difficult fingering as on strings. some pieces call for the piano as accompaniment or as part of the ensemble, but probably it is regarded mostly as a solo instrument in most compostitions and there is no competition, such as in other orchestra groups that are arranged on a first-chair, second-chair, etc. basis. after you master the piano, you will have much of the capability to play other keyboard instruments, such as the harpsichord, organ, and electronic types. good luck with your musical endeavors.

Well, if you plan to wear shoes..."shod" as you put it...then you can play most anything that requires outdoor use. Even a tuba! I especially encourage you to wear shoes when playing a tuba as it would really hurt if you drop it on your foot.
If you decide to play an instrument un-shod, I recommend the flute.

Jaw harp or Juice Harp: AKA Jaw Harp, which failed to originate contained in the Jewish custom or the Ozark mountains of the US. it would nicely be stated in oriental utilization around the 4th century; even if, there is not any reason it would want to not were used even in the previous. it really is a unmarried note device held contained in the mouth with a plucking lever controlling a unmarried reid. Squeezing motives sound version. alterations in mouth structure and respiratory may result a huge difference in sound. yet, no count number what you do there is in straightforward words one note emitted, it really is why i love its unique sound it really is continually replacing and ever a similar. It replaced into fashionable through Bob Dylan in a large number of poetic numbers. i imagine everyone might want to play it in the experience that they practiced.

i would say start with piano, it´s a great instrument since it plays both melody and harmony, and it´s a good place to start for trainging fingers...otherwise, i´d go for the flute, its very similar to the sax and clarinet as far as the notes go, so it´s very versatile. also, it´s easy to carry around
