Not you - of course.

I mean some times I am taken aback at how amazingly dim whitted some of the logic is - how do you feel about this?

Well, sometimes people think its funny to post a not so bright answer or a not so bright question, so that's just why you think they are not bright.

good luck.

This is just a guess, but most of them are probably teenagers. Just a hunch.

As such, they've only developed so much cognitive and reasoning abilities. Plus, their world view would be limited since they've been cooped up at home for some time.

However, not all are dimwitted.

Just keep in mind who the audience probably is.

It appears to me that there are a great number of people that answer the questions here with little or no thought behind them. Then again if you look at some of the questions asked you can't help but see why you get "dumb" answers.

I have seen some rather good answer to good questions and answers. There lots of people that truly are trying to help other out.

There I have said my peace now.

Thankgoodness somebody else noticed, I was beginning to be afraid that this shallow level of thought was so the norm that everybody was too encased in it to see it for its dimwhittedness. Many questions are not even spelt or phrased well enough to be understood in the english. There should be some standard questions have to pass.

hmm, i think if yahoo answers were only for those who are smart, then they wouldve to pass some kind of test (an iq test perhaps) first before they can participate in this interaction. yahoo didnt do that.

truth is, i see yahoo answers as a means of socializing rather than the place where geeks rule type. its just my opinion, though.

I don't think they are all dim whitted. I think some people just need to think before they answer a question.

I'm not as concerned about logic as much as I am at the fact that many people can't seem to spell or form complete sentences.

I can't stand it. Some of these people are kids spending time at the library over the summer vacation I am sure.

Oh, yes. Me, too. Sometimes I re-read my own answers, and I am amazed at how dimwitted my own logic is. Oh well. It's all in good fun for the benefit of humanity, right?

you are not alone. (but, you have to keep in mind that some of the participants are children) And true, some people waste our time with their trash. My main concern is how to protect those children from the obviously, perverted. What can you do?
