Also, on filesharing systems the quality of each song is oftentimes usually compromised because it's copied or shared (Notice that sometimes a song skips, is corrupted, etc.). What's worse, you can get nasty computer viruses and spyware from these shared files!
There are legal ways of getting music that don't cost a lot either. I subscribe to Yahoo Music Unlimited and it's awesome (it only costs about $5/month)! I have access to probably a million legal, great quality music. Check that out, along with the website above.
Personally, I like to support the artists that I like so that they can further their career. I wouldn't want to steal their music that they've put time and effort into.

You might like to try "www.emule-project.net" as a possible alternative to limewire (I know perfectly NOTHING about); it's also free, I have downloaded close to 4 GB of music, plus some e-books and movies, and it's free, based on sharing files with others. So far, I've never had any trouble with viruses ... a good anti-virus program (I have Bitdefender) surely won't do any harm, though ... ! Good luck & have fun!

Try limewire. It is free however downloading and sharing of copyrighted songs is a violation of applicable laws. Limewire is intended to keep the internet open by allowing free file sharing. The cost to record, produce and release a pop song is not free.
