There is a common scam against sellers where someone offers to buy your item, but says they have a cashier's check for more than the amount of the item you are selling. They want you to deposit the check in your bank and send them the difference back. Only the check is no good. But what most people don't realize is that it can take a couple of weeks for the bank to come back to you and tell you the cashier's check was no good. You are out the money you sent to the buyer, and if you already sent your item, you lose that too. Don't fall for it. Only accept checks for the amount of the item you are selling, and ask your bank how long to wait before you send your item off.

Yes $40 silk top that had a stain +$5 s&h +$3 euro convert charge and this one after the other. Then the cow complained because I mentioned in the feedback that wasn't expecting the conversion charge after already paying the "all charges included" but I still said all's ok. Won't use it again. It's not worth the hassle + shipping costs + converstion costs + chance of faulty/stained/missing item + wrong size.
Have you ever noticed that the shippings quotes are nothing to what it is on the package?

Yes, I bought a set of pictures described as being in great condition which were ripped, stained and full of holes. The seller offered a refund but I would still have to pay postage both ways. I wanted to leave negative feedback but since he hadn't left any for me I was afraid he'd just be spiteful and leave negative feedback for me. I also find most sellers overcharge on postage.

just once. I bid and won a cabbage patch pony, sent the check and - no pony. When I went to check the seller he had been removed from E-bay. Shame on me for buying by check from someone w/ very few references.
That was my only bad experience - I've found the sellers and buyers to be extremely easy to work with.

Yes i have been ripped off on ebay:
-paid for items in USA that never came and paypal did nnothing.
-PAid for items with postage of about £3.75.. and when they came the items were wrapped in a platsic bag with postage of 75p
-Item not as described, i got there and drove a vehicle to my freinds house and had to have it towed home, as it was incapable of making the journey.
-bought harddrives that were defective and gave up asking for replacements, after the 2nd one was also defective.
- another scam is the seller claims they have proof of postage, takes your money and you get nothing. You have no leg to stand on as ebay dont give a rats-***.I
Its not worth buying items under (i think) £15 as you have no back-up from ebay.

no, i've had really good experiences with ebay and half.com, there was only one instance when an item took 3 weeks to get to me and it was a textbook i needed for class. long story short, i had the book shipped home since it was over christmas break but by the time the book arrived at my house i was back at school so i had to get it express mailed to my dorm.

I've done quite a bit of e-baying and I've been ripped off 2 times. Both were my own fault for purchasing from people with low feedback and then poof they were gone, no more E-bay account.

My husband and I sold Magic the Gathering Cards on Ebay before. We probably had sent out 30 or more packages all over the world. We saved the receipts with addresses on them from the Post Office and this one kid who spent like $100 dollars claimed he never received his package.I know he received it, but paypal went in favor of him and said we would have to pay him. needless to say, I cussed him out and paypal and have not paid him his money and will never pay him any sort of money. Its funny that people from foreign countries received their packages but he "didn't." I'm not stupid so he gets NO money from me.
